Ireland Road Trip

I just wanted to take a quick moment to explain what to expect in Ireland.  We wanted to make sure that the group would not spend long periods of time on the coach.  We want everyone to spend the majority of their time enjoying Ireland.  That is the biggest reason we cut out a couple places we wanted to share such as the cliffs of Mohr.  We picked what we thought was the best from our past experiences.

The drive from the CityNorth Hotel north of Dublin to Waterford is 2 hours or less.

The drive from Waterford to Cobh is 2 hours or less.  We will be stopping at Blarney Castle on our way to Cobh.  Blarney Castle is right outside Cork which is right next to Cobh.  If you prefer Cork over Cobh there is a train that is inexpensive close to our accommodations. Cobh was the final sailing place of the Titanic and is a seaside town.

The drive from Cobh to Dingle is 2 hours or less.  However if the weather is nice and we end of doing the Ring of Kerry (we can vote on this) then the Ring of Kerry will add probably about 2 to 3 hours.  We can see how we feel that day and who is up for it.

The longest drive is the drive from Dingle to Dublin (a little over 4 hours) but we believe you will love Dingle.  It is very picturesque and very Ireland.  It is another seaside town.  Plus we will definitely stop along the way from Dingle to Dublin for a pint or two to break it up.  (Limerick will be one stop for sure)

REMEMBER:  I hired the coach and driver.  Nothing has to be set in stone except for the accommodations.  This is our tour.  However I do ask when we decide on a time to leave please be at the coach.

Map of Ireland with our road trip Itinerary below.  The X is where the Anniversary Celebration will take place.  It is a actually north of Waterford in Glenmore.  The run off above Cork is Blarney Castle and the run off below is Cobh.  I have not included the Ring of Kerry in the first pic.  It is in the second pick in green.
