APPS

Technology can make international travel much easier.

Here are a few apps that I love:

1) Kindle for my phone:  Just be sure to download books while you have Wi-Fi.

2) CityMaps2Go:  This app is wonderful.  You can download the maps you need ahead of time and use them offline.

3) Currency Converter:  With Wi-Fi you can keep up on the latest currency rates.

4) TripList:  Great way to create a packing list specific to you

5) Units Plus: Convert kilometers to miles, liters to gallons, etc

6) Skype:  Make free calls using Wi-Fi to other Skype users

7) WhatsApp:  Similar to Facebook Messenger you can message using Wi-Fi.  Both parties like Facebook Messenger must have the WhatsApp app.

8) Learn Italian: This is a great free app that can be used offline.  It is not extensive but gives simple phrases like I'm sorry or Please say that again.

9) Bank Apps: Using Wi-Fi you can check your account or transfer money if needed.

10) Trip It: This is a great trip planner tool

11) Google Translate:  Overall great language translate

12) WiFi Map Pro:  You can download maps of cities ahead of time and find all the WiFi spots.  NOTE:  There is a cost of $4.99

There are many many more - these are just some of my favorites.

I have an IPhone so some of these apps might be a little different for Android.

Also remember if you have an IPhone you can FaceTime over Wi-Fi.
